At the Highest and Lowest Points

Matthew 3:16-17 After being baptized, Jesus immediately came up from the water and at that moment the heavens opened and He saw the Spirit of God descending like a dove on Him, then a voice came from heaven saying: "This is My beloved Son, in whom I am well pleased." Jesus was baptized in the Dead Sea area, in the Jordan River. The Dead Sea is the lowest place on the entire surface of the earth, four hundred meters below sea level. When Jesus was baptized, the heavens opened and a voice from heaven said, “This is the Son that I love.”

On the mountain, Jesus is glorified with Moses and Elijah. (Matthew 17) At that moment, the heavens opened again and a voice from heaven said, “This is my beloved Son.”

In the lowest place, at the Dead Sea, God the Father said, “This is my beloved Son.” On high, God the Father also said, “This is my beloved Son.”

Not only when we are at the highest point in our life, but also when we are at the lowest point in our life, when we fall, when we do something wrong, keep saying, "I am a person justified by God through faith in Jesus Christ, I am God's most beloved child." This will give us the strength to rise again!
