an unshakeable source of strength and hope

 Matthew 8:23-27

Then Jesus got into the boat and His disciples followed Him. Suddenly a storm raged on the lake, so that the boat was crushed by the waves, but Jesus was sleeping.


So his disciples came and woke him up, saying, 'Lord, help us, we are perishing.' He said to them: 'Why are you afraid, you of little faith?' Then Jesus got up and rebuked the wind and the lake, and the lake became very calm. And the people were amazed, saying, 'What is this man, that even the winds and the sea obey Him?'"


Psalm 46:1-3

God is for us a place of protection and strength, as a help in times of trouble which is very evident. Therefore we will not fear, even though the earth changes, even though the mountains shake in the sea; even though the sea is stormy and surging, even though the mountains shake with its waves."


Isaiah 43:2

When you cross through water, I will be with you, or through rivers, you will not be swept away; if you walk through fire, you will not be scorched, and the flame will not burn you."


Philippians 4:6-7

Do not worry about anything, but express in everything your desires to Allah in prayer and supplication with thanksgiving. The peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and minds in Christ Jesus."


1 Peter 5:7

Cast all your worries on Him, for He cares for you."


When facing the storms of life, we are often tempted to feel afraid and hopeless.


However, God teaches us to continue to trust and depend completely on Him, like the disciples who were afraid in the midst of a storm, we often forget that Jesus is with us, He has the power to calm every storm and give us peace that surpasses all understanding.


Facing the storms of life is not an easy thing, but with God by our side, we have certain hope, believe that every storm will pass and God will lead us to calm and peace.

The Power of Words

 Mark 11:20-21 Early in the morning, as they passed by, they saw the fig tree dried up from the roots. Peter remembered what had happened and said to Jesus, “Rabbi, look! The fig tree that you cursed is dried up.” In Mark 11:14, the Lord Jesus cursed a fig tree. He simply said, “May no one eat fruit from you ever again!” and the next day, the tree dried up from the roots. How powerful words are! Notice, when the Lord cursed the tree, it did not immediately appear to die. It was only the next day that the tree appeared to have dried up from the roots. Why was that? In the NKJV, verse 20 says, “the fig tree dried up from the roots.” From the roots. When the Lord spoke to the tree, death immediately occurred! It just wasn’t visible because the death occurred from the roots and wasn’t visible in the leaves. At the Highest and Lowest Points

 Matthew 3:16-17 After being baptized, Jesus immediately came up from the water and at that moment the heavens opened and He saw the Spirit of God descending like a dove on Him, then a voice came from heaven saying: "This is My beloved Son, in whom I am well pleased."
