Far More

Ephesians 3:20 Now to Him who is able to do far more abundantly than all we ask or think, according to the power that is at work within us. Do you remember the story of the five loaves and two fish? In the hands of Jesus, five loaves and two fish could feed 5,000 men and even twelve baskets of leftovers. Do you remember the story of the leper who approached Jesus after Jesus finished preaching on the mount? He asked for healing, but Jesus touched him and then healed him. A touch was something that a leper could not possibly receive. But Jesus gave it. Do you remember the story of Lazarus who was raised to life? When his brothers called Jesus, they expected Jesus to come and heal Lazarus. But when Jesus came, Lazarus had already died. Was Jesus late? Yes, but He would give us far more than we asked for. Lazarus was not only healed, but he was raised to life. When Zacchaeus, out of curiosity, climbed a sycamore tree to see Jesus, Jesus came to his house. The coming of Jesus made Zacchaeus, a tax collector, become a generous person. Jesus never came to a place and left in an ordinary state. When He is invited, when we call upon Him, then He will come and answer beyond what we ask and think. That is His person! Know that whatever we pray and think, He will surely answer it far more than we need. Amen!
