Knowing You Properly
Job 42:5 I have heard of You by the hearing of the ear, but now my eye sees You. Many of us have heard about God many times, but knowing Him personally is different from hearing from the hearing of the ear. That is why Jesus came as a man so that we could know Him personally.
John 1 says, “The Word became flesh and dwelt among us, and we saw His glory, glory as of the only Son from the Father, full of grace and truth.” How can we know Him? Through the word of grace and truth. When we know Jesus, the fullness of His grace and truth will overflow us.
When Job said, “Now my eye sees You,” this was the moment he experienced God personally, experiencing an encounter with His person that led Job to the faith that set him free. Job experienced God’s goodness and at the end of Job’s story received a double restoration of all that was lost in his life.
Let us know Him personally, not from the hearing of the ear. Let us experience His goodness personally, then we will know that He is a truly good Person, and truly loves us.
