Supernatural Light

Exodus 10:22-23 Then Moses stretched out his hand toward heaven, and there was darkness throughout all the land of Egypt for three days. No one could see his neighbor, and no one could get up from his place for three days. But all the Israelites had light in their dwellings. One of the plagues that happened in Egypt was darkness. When darkness came over Egypt, the Bible says that there was still light in every Israelite home.

We might ask, “What was so special about the light that the Israelites had in their dwellings? Couldn’t the light have come from candles or fire?” However, if the light that the Israelites had in their dwellings came from natural light such as candles or fire, couldn’t the Egyptians have had it at that time too? So in fact, the light that the Israelites had in their dwellings was supernatural light!

God wants supernatural light in our lives, in our careers, in our marriages and families. It doesn’t mean that there are no challenges, problems or struggles. Challenges, problems or struggles are always present in our lives. Yet God's light is also in our lives and makes a difference to the world. When people see us, they can see God's light. Amen!
