We Are Heirs Because We Are Children

Galatians 4:7 So you are no longer slaves, but children; If you are children, then you are also heirs, by Allah. Many believe that to receive God's blessing, we must continue to obey the law. If we do it seriously, God will fulfill His promise to us. If not, then God's promises will not come true in our lives. It is as if we are the ones who determine whether God's promises will be fulfilled or not in our lives. We are the judges.

If we live under the law, that is right. But through Jesus, we who believe, live under grace. We no longer live under the law that demands our performance. Performance here is our actions, both before God and before humans. This verse says that if we hope for God's promises because of the law, then faith is in vain, and the promise is void. Because the truth is, no one can do it perfectly. Until Jesus fulfills it for us.

Expect God's promises to be based on Jesus' sacrifice on the cross, not based on our deeds. Even if the act is good and seems spiritual. Living under grace means expecting God's promises based on Jesus' sacrifice.
